SPRING 2011
“Corps Bara Project Company and Cum Vino Cantos Chamber Choir”
This spring Corps Bara Dance Theater will present a concert of new works in the One Yellow Rabbit Theater. Collaborating with Cum Vino Cantus Choir, directed by Jean-Louis Bleau, local choreographers will create the first half of the concert centered around the sacred images and literature of the Stations of the Cross. Guest artist Gessuri Gaitan will join the Project Company as both a choreographer and dancer, exploring the suffering of Christ. Regional choreographer Connie Moker Wernikowski will create a thirty-minute work for the second half of the concert based on a modern exploration of the hardships and adventures of a spiritual journey. The dancers will share their own experiences during an intensive workshop, which will then inform the spoken word and movement in the work. This unique performance will provide the audience with an intimate look into the Project Company, while exploring ancient and contemporary perspectives on the spiritual journey.
When:  April 14th - 16th
