Policy to Protect Personal Information

Policy Statement:

Roots will use common sense rules to balance the right of an individual to have his or her personal information protected with the need of the Roots program to collect, use or disclose personal information for reasonable purposes. There will be a right of access to one’s personal information. Roots collects and maintains different types of personal information from our adherents in order to manage and develop our school and operations, including but not exclusive to:

  • Contact and identification information
  • Eligibility and enrolment
  • Learning assessment
  • Student health and safety
  • Special events
  • Student/family liaison
  • Development
  • Fundraising
  • Finance administration

Roots privacy measures will be enacted in accordance with the Roots Home Education PIPA Policy.

Roots Homeschooling Program of Trinity Christian School, its directors, officers, members, employees and volunteers are required to comply with the principles and the procedure; and will be given restricted access to personal information solely to perform the services provided by Roots. Other persons or organizations who act for, or on behalf of, or in partnership with Roots, are also to conform to these principles and procedures, and will be given restricted access to personal information solely to perform the services provided for Roots. Roots has designated a Home Education PIPA Officer. Any inquiry, request or concern relating to privacy matters should be made in writing to Roots Home Education Privacy Officer.
